How It Works: Simply add a pound, or so, of Red Wiggler worms and your kitchen waste to the lower. The worms will then start processing the scraps. As soon as the lower tray is filled with waste simply add another tray above it. The worms will then head on skywards to the newer food source, leaving the lower tray full of nutrientrich compost. Worm castings, which are simply worm poo, are the most nutrient-rich compost medium available. As organic waste is broken down, moisture filters throughout the system, moving nutrient-rich particles along with it, creating compost. You can drain this organic liquid fertilizer (worm tea) right from the spigot on the base unit. The worm tea can then be diluted with water and used as a liquid fertilizer.
